WHY WE BUILD THIS WAY
What goes into every artifact
Most clothing is made to be replaced. PHAZD artifacts are made to last.
That's not a marketing line. It's a production decision that touches every part of how we build.
We source heavy, ring-spun cotton — 220gsm and above. Not because it photographs well. Because it holds its shape, holds the print, and survives years of actual use. A hoodie you wear twice a week for three years costs a fraction of what you think when you do the math. A hoodie you replace every season costs far more.
The cotton we use is sourced through sustainable farming programs — Better Cotton Initiative and high-standard Australian cotton — with third-party audited labor practices and no forms of modern slavery in the supply chain. We don't manufacture at scale and we don't hold excess inventory. Every artifact is made when you order it. That's intentional. We make what's needed, not what's optimistic.
We work with a small number of suppliers who have been building premium blanks for almost two decades. Suppliers who design with a minimum five-year trend life — the opposite of fast fashion logic. We chose them because we share the same view: quality is the most sustainable thing you can make.
